AMBIENCE
Sat down a side street just off Regents street at oxford circus, sits this little door way to another world and that world is called Sketch,
From the moment you enter your teleported in to the minds of artists, stylists and musicians, this extraordinarily establishment, sits under the ground and is glazed with pink furniture’s, like a step back in time, it has a 1940s inspired style while the walls are lined with quirky sketch work by Artist David Shringly, the room is complimented with golds and rose tone accents, combining modern and vintage styles , all while you sit under the grand dome that scales out of the roof, in incredible and hide environment
Sketch is a service of experience, it’s not just about the food but the feeling that your environment and surrounds give to you with dinning and the same is said for the staff, dressed in petite vintage waitress outfits and styled in era clothing, full of knowledge and very attentive to the tables, being committed to the service and experience they provide

FOOD
our main visit to Sketch was to try there afternoon tea and the fact they actually do cater for vegans and vegetarian , you just have to ask for the vegetarian tea to be changed, that they are more than happy to do, we started our experience with a glass of Pink  dry champagne, while choosing what teas to opt for from the extensive and diverse tea menu, the teas are freshly brewed, and ready for your pouring as when you choose, with a range of classic and beautiful perfumed flower teas.

Next came the incredible food, presented on a tradition three tier cake stand, why would you want it any other way?
A beautiful array of sandwiches, cakes and sweet pots lined each tier, including your classic flavour combinations and some with a twist, like avocado and chutney finger sandwiches, compote cheesecake pot and macaroons, a classic with a twist is inspiring while still giving that elegant and pleasing feeling you expect from afternoon tea, following the tier of food, we were presented with traditional British scones accompanied by fig jam and clotted cream. Wonderfully soft warm scones, covered in smooth clotted cream and a fruity sharp jam, pulling the whole experience together and reminding you of what makes British food and culture so great.
