What would Dr Hauschka do?

Taking care of our skin is part of our day to day routine and it can be forgotten about more often then we like to recall, but that’s not a bad thing, our skin needs time to breathe from time to time, our natural oils are, well, what they say natural, they are produced to help our skin recover, I for one forget to cleanse and tone and moisturise often and even though these natural oils that our skin producers are good for us, sometimes they can get a bit too much, it can cause spots and just doesn’t look all that nice really.

There are plenty of ways to get rid of oily skin, cleansing and using facial washes are the key products you should use, but that doesn’t just fix the issue, there is more to it than that, after cleansing your skin you should moisturise but this can just add to the problem of oily skin, if you have oily skin you know what I am talking about and if you don’t, I bet you have woke up at least a few times with very oily skin after applying a product before bed.

Well one product that I find helps this is toners and many people use toners, but there are toners created for oily skin, outbreaks and spots, the product featured is by Dr Hauschka, it is a clarifying toner specially formulated for oily, spot prone skin, using extracts of Calendula, Nasturtium, Echinacea, daisy and witch hazel, the blend together work well for because of their antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which help soothe and calm the skin while helping to regulate oil production by tightening up the pores and calm down the glands which produce sebum.

An effect all round toner that can help combat oily skin, but that’s not to say you should still wash an cleanse your skin, it is a mix of many things that help slow down this process, use a deep cleansing facial wash before bed or in the morning, then simply use the toner after, I tend to use it in the morning and at night and it works very well, it does have an unusual smell to it, because of the extracts it contains but it is well worth it for the effect it has on oily skin, it is even better in the summer, there is something really refreshing about spraying yourself in the face with toner, but don’t just take my word for it, check out the product at
